Passing It On

Passing It On was first published in 1992 by the New Jersey Council on the Arts with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The book grew out of school-based projects with traditional artists in New Jersey. In addition to providing examples of follife in New Jersey, this publication provides insights about how to integrate local traditions into teaching and learning.

The eight excerpts in this section are "reprinted" to share this excellent educational resource with a broader audience.
